Changing registered agents is pretty simple.  There is a form that needs to be signed by both the new registered agent you are seeking to hire and yourself (the client/business entity) and then filed with the Secretary of State (SOS).  In Idaho there is no state fee for changing registered agents.  You are not locked in by the state to your current registered agent regardless of whether or not you have finished the term of your original engagement.  Nor will there be a gap in coverage or any other risk associated with making a change even though the agent you are leaving might suggest otherwise.  Most registered agents will charge a fee for completing and filing the Statement of Change paperwork with the Secretary of State in addition to the standard fee for acting as your registered agent for one year.  Reliant Registered Agent only charges their representation fee for the year, or years, of representation the client designates.  The fee for completing and filing the statement of change of registered agent is waived for all new customers and all customers are enrolled in Idaho's Business Identity Monitoring service for no additional fee to the client (Reliant picks up the tab for monitoring too).
